From the Social Networks page you can manage the future updates settings and connect or disconnect a social.
You can set the rules for:
- which type of content can be updated and published automatically
- which content you want to keep hidden and so will wait for your approval in the Pending section of the Content Manager
For example: using your Instagram account as the main social for photos, often also shared on your Facebook Page, you can decide to automatically publish on the site the photos from Instagram and keep those on Facebook hidden. This method is useful for not having duplicates.
To do so, open the drop-down menu that shows all the content on the Social Networks page, and choose which content you want to hide.
Where the eye icon is yellow, the content is displayed and updated automatically.
Where the eye icon is grey, the contect is not updated and displayed automatically, but it will wait for your approval in the Content Manager, in the Pending section.
You can also change this setting for the social selected, without choosing a different option for each type of content. To do so, just click on the eye icon and showed below, without opening the drop-down menu.
If the automatic updates are on
If the automatic updates are on, the content will be imported on Swite and displayed on your site automatically.
In some cases, even if the automatic updates are on, some content could not be displayed automatically due to the privacy settings of the content on the social network where it was posted.
For example, you could have the automatic updates on for the photos from your Facebook Profile, but if you share a photo with a post that is not public (showed only to friends, i.e.), this content will not be automatically published on your site and you will find it in the Pending section of the Content Manager.
